Former Palm Springs POWER first baseman Ryan Wheeler was selected as the winner of the Win Clark award for his outstanding level of play with the Yakima Bears in the Northwest League in 2009. This annual award is given in honor of the Secretary of the Association and is presented to the most outstanding first year player in Southen California.
Wheeler was drafted in the fifth round by the Arizona Diamondbacks, and was recently selected as their minor league player of the year. All of us here with the POWER Organization want to wish Ryan a great job well done!
