PALM SPRINGS, Calif – The Palm Springs POWER defeated the Long Beach Legends 11-5 to start the 2022 season 2-0. Carson Phillips came into the game at the start of the 5th inning. He pitched 4 innings allowing 3 hits, no runs, and recorded 6 strikeouts. The POWER and Legends were tied 5-5 going into the 6th inning. Pinch hitting in the 6th, Joey Mazzetti hit a 2 run RBI double as Noah Blythe and Richie Amavizca came in to score for the POWER giving them a 7-5 lead. It did not stop there as the Power scored 4 more runs, all of them coming in the 7th inning.
