PALM SPRINGS, Calif- The POWER fell to 9-2 on the season tonight as they lost 4-0 to the FBA Sharks.
Jumpei Akanuma (COD) received his first loss tonight after five innings of work, giving up seven hits and three runs.
The Sharks totaled seven hits, with two RBI coming from Connor McCoy. The Sharks also recorded two other extra-base hits in their fourth victory on the summer.
Palm Springs posted three hits behind Brock Hale (BYU), C.J. Broussard (LA Sierra) and John Mauldin (Baton Rogue CC), but the POWER were not able to convert anything to a score.
Conference play begins tomorrow at 7:05 PM at Palm Springs Stadium as the POWER host Arroyo Seco in a two-game weekend series. The first 400 fans to the park tomorrow will get a free Pass to WET N’ WILD waterpark to cool off during the hot weekend.
