FRISCO, TX — There was a POWER reunion of sorts as former pitcher Aaron Brooks (2009-10), now with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals of the Texas League (Double-A), and former broadcast intern Nathan Barnett (2011), now with the Frisco Rough Riders, came face to face prior to their respective teams matching wits at Dr. Pepper Ballpark.
POWER owner Andrew Starke was especially pleased to hear that both were doing well.
” I am obviously very happy and proud of both of these guys,” said Starke. “I hope they both can continue on this path and are able to pursuit their dreams of making it to the Big Leagues in their respective careers.”
The San Bernardino-native is 3-3 with a 5.53 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 42.1 innings pitched for the Naturals after being called up from Class-A Adavanced affiliate, the Wilmington Blue Rocks, earlier in the season.
