Palm Springs, Calif. –  The Palm Springs Power got back on the win column at home with a 7-4 win over the Alameda Anchors and wasted no time getting a total of 6 runs in the first two innings of the game. It was another solid outing from the Power pitching staff who used 5 different pitchers with Jaden McNeely in his first start as a Power.

The Power pitching was able to retire 13 batters on strikeouts and limited the Anchors to just four runs. Andrew Baltazar would take over for McNeely in the 5th after going 4 innings pitched, 3 hits, and 5 strikeouts. Baltazar would go for two innings and limit the runs to just one given up and would be marked for the win against the Anchors. Lucas Zack and Anthony Sanchez would have solid 1 inning relief outings before Tyrone Woods would finish off the game with 2 strikeouts and 2 hits allowed with 1 earned run of a double late in the game.

Power hitting once again was back on track after the Sunday away games in Riverside by knocking multiple hits within the first two innings and just 1 run in the 6th inning. Jamal Ritter had himself another great outing at the plate knocking in 2 singles, a sacrifice fly, a stolen base, and 2 runs batted in. KJ Moon would be the only one to knock an extra-base hit with a triple in the sixth inning.

Power will take on the Anchors in game 2 on June 11 at 6:30 PM for Wild Wednesdays at the ballpark which is $5 margaritas at concessions. It will also be a Summer Social for Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce.
