Palm Springs, Calif. –  The Palm Springs Power refused to let their winning streak come to an end Tuesday night, storming back from a midgame deficit to defeat Southern Nevada, 7-6. With the victory, the Power improved to 21-3 on the season and extended their impressive winning streak to nine games.

Southern Nevada wasted no time jumping on the scoreboard, striking for two runs in the opening inning. With two outs, Michael Alvarado delivered a clutch two-run single to give the visitors an early 2-0 advantage.

The Power responded immediately. They got on the board in the bottom of the first before taking their first lead of the game in the second inning. With the bases loaded, Williams came through in the clutch, lining a two-run hit to put Palm Springs in front 3-2.

Southern Nevada answered with its biggest inning of the night in the fourth. A five-hit frame flipped the momentum as Lorenzo Bradley and Cooper Sheff each delivered two-run singles, helping Southern Nevada plate four runs and reclaim a 6-3 lead.

The Power began chipping away at the deficit, scoring once in the fifth and again in the sixth to pull within a run. Meanwhile, the bullpen kept Southern Nevada’s offense completely in check, combining for five consecutive scoreless innings to give the offense a chance to complete the comeback.

That opportunity came in the bottom of the eighth.

With two outs and the game tied, Jayden Sanchez stepped to the plate and launched a go-ahead solo home run, sending the Palm Springs faithful into celebration and giving the Power their first lead since the second inning.

The bullpen slammed the door in the ninth, completing five dominant innings of relief without allowing a run to preserve the 7-6 victory.

Palm Springs once again showcased the resilience that has fueled its outstanding season, overcoming an early deficit and a four-run fourth inning from Southern Nevada to earn its ninth straight win. The Power will be back at Palm Springs Stadium on July 10th when they take on the I.V Legends, first pitch at 7pm.
