Palm Springs, Calif. – Palm Springs Power were able to take both games against the Inland Valley Legends who were sitting at second and Power in third place before this two game set began. Tonight’s final score was 11-2.
With this win it will mark Power’s 700th franchise win. On top of that, Power improved their CPCL record to 12-5 while the Legends are standing at 12-6. This means Power is currently in line for the playoffs.
Kenny Keller was the starting pitcher tonight for the Power and put up another quality outing. He went four innings with five strikeouts, four hits, one run, and zero walks.
After Keller’s night was finished, Power’s bullpen came in to dominate yet again. James Williams, AJ Moreno, and Isaac Quintero came in to relieve. They went 5 innings, 1 run, 9 strikeouts, 1 walk, and only 2 hits.
Powers’s offense showed up in a big way with the top four batters leading the way. They had nine runs scored, while only being held scoreless in the four innings.
After tonight’s big series win they’ll be taking on the Inland Valley Pirates for a double header on Monday. Game 1 will be at 2 p.m. and Game 2 at 5 p.m. at UCR. If they can continue their winning ways they’ll have a chance to collect another league championship. They’re currently sitting with 10.
