Palm Springs, Calif. – The Power’s Saturday night 11-2 win over the Inland Valley Legends wasn’t just another victory in the win column. It marked the 700th win in the franchise’s history.
With five managers, 21 winning seasons, and approximately 800 players since its inception, the Power moved into second place in the CPCL standings.
Power owner Andrew Starke received a celebratory water cooler bath from pitcher Tyrone Woods. “We didn’t get to 700 because of one person, one player, or one coach,†Starke said. ‘We got to 700 because of every person that has come through this organization in 22 years.â€
Starke had a vision when he moved to California. He is proud of everything he and the Power have accomplished, not just as a businessman, but as a husband and father of three.
“To get to 700 wins, you gotta show up every single day,†he said. “I’m proud of the fact that I’m setting a good example for my kids, staff, and players.â€
