Palm Springs, Calif. –  The Power earned a decisive 17-3 victory over the So Cal Mavericks.

Greyson Gegg earned player of the game honors, going 3-for-4 with two runs and a stolen base. On a night with no scoreboard, Gegg and a few other Power players were surprised to hear the final score.

Naun Haro earned the win after Jaden McNeely was relieved one inning shy of qualifying for the win.

Mavericks starting pitcher Boston Souza earned the loss, only pitching one inning and failing to get a single out through the first eight batters faced in the second. Ethan Harris finished the inning, but the 8-2 game remained out of reach for the Mavericks. The bottom 2nd set the tone for the game, when thirteen Power batters came to the plate.

Due to the Colton Nighthawks’ match on July 5th being ruled a forfeit win for the Power, tonight’s game was win 698 in Power history, making the 700-win milestone a reality as soon as Saturday.

The Power will face the Inland Valley Legends at home on Friday and Saturday. First pitch for both games is at 7.
