Palm Springs, Calif. –  The Palm Springs Power lost to the So Cal Mavericks 9-7 on Saturday night at Palm Springs Stadium. The game started scoreless before the Mavericks broke through in the second scoring two runs.

The Mavericks increased their lead over the next two innings, scoring two runs each inning from the second to fourth innings.

Kenny Keller started the game on the mound and allowed five runs over three innings pitched with five hits allowed. Keller pitched from behind the whole outing, but the Power offense got started in the third. 

Austin Haller hit a solo home run to right field in the third inning to start the scoring before Myles Walton and Coen Goeas scored over the next two innings. Cato Kleinman drove in Jamall Ritter in during the sixth and the Power came all the way back to tie the game in the eighth inning.

Austin Haller roped a two RBI double down the right field line tying the game at 6, the Mavericks got out of the inning without further damage then scored three runs in the ninth inning. 

A comeback attempt from the Power fell short in the ninth, they sent seven batters to the plate and drove in KJ Moon to make it a 9-7 game then the Mavericks pitching closed it out to take the game 9-7. 

The Power fall to 13-3 on the season and 5-3 in CPCL play. They will be back on Tuesday nightagainst the Colton Nighthawks for a non-conference game at 7pm
