Palm Springs, Calif. –  The Palm Springs Power will host Hometown Heroes Night on Friday July 12 at Palm Springs Stadium. Attendance is free for all Firefighters, Police Officers, and Teachers with identification.

The Power will recognize and celebrate individuals in the Coachella Valley who keep the community strong. Multiple organizations will be at the stadium including the Palm Springs Police and Fire Departments and Palm Springs Unified School District.

Palm Springs Stadium will also host the Palm Springs Fire Foundation, a local non-profit with a mission of giving back to the community. The organization will feature an informational booth at the stadium.

The Palm Springs Fire Department will bring a fire truck for fans to explore. Members of all three communities will throw out first pitches and be recognized throughout the game.

First pitch is slated for 7 PM with gates opening at 6 PM. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets at the stadium box office upon arrival at the ballpark. Palm Springs Stadium features the largest misting system in the Coachella Valley with the majority of the stadium in shade by gate opening time.

The Power will face off against the Inland Valley Bucs on Friday in a 2023 CPCL Championship Series rematch. Palm Springs enters the week 24-0 and 13-0 in CPCL play with 43 straight franchise victories dating back to the 2023 season.

The Palm Springs Power are a summer collegiate baseball team playing all games at Palm Springs Stadium. The Power are a member of the California Premier Collegiate League and the league’s inaugural champions in 2023. Palm Springs has won nine league championships in 19 seasons of playing baseball in the desert dating to 2004.
