Palm Springs, Calif. – The Palm Springs Power will host ‘Inside Out’ Night on Wednesday June 26 at Palm Springs Stadium. First pitch is slated for 7 PM with gates opening at 6 PM.
The Power will celebrate the importance of mental wellness with interactive activities and inspiring guest speakers throughout the game.
‘Inside Out,’ a Pixar film series with the second movie released on June 14, explores the complexities of human emotions, offering insights into mental wellness and the journey to understand human’s inner selves.
The event is being presented by NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Illness for the Coachella Valley, Coachella Valley Behavioral Health, and involvement with The Desert Comprehensive Treatment Center. These organizations will have informational booths at the game featuring different giveaways.
There will be a number of first pitches thrown on Wednesday by local community members. First pitches include Coachella Valley Native Jose Julio Murillo, a NAMI Coachella Valley Board Member, James Cate, the Director of Plant Operations at Coachella Valley Behavioral Health and The Desert Comprehensive Treatment Center’s Michael Courtois.
The Power enter the week undefeated. On Wednesday they face the Inland Valley Legends for their fifth time this season. This is the first matchup between the two CPCL rivals since the Power’s thrilling walk off victory over the Legends two weeks ago.
The night aims to better educate Coachella Valley citizens on the mental wellness resources available to them within the community. Tickets are available at the stadium box office on gameday.
