PALM SPRINGS, Calif – The Palm Springs POWER were defeated by the So Cal Field Rats 5-3 Tuesday night to snap a 14-game winning streak. The POWER scored two runs in the first inning with consecutive hits from Izayah Alvarez, Josh Hernandez, Evan Berkey, and Efrain Manzo. The Field Rats took a 3-2 lead in the fourth aided by three walks and three errors. Anthony Angel Jr. delivered an rbi single to tie the game at three in the eighth. The Field Rats regained the lead with a pinch-hit double from Sergio Medrano and a couple wild pitches in the ninth. Despite 11 total hits, the POWER could only push across three runs. Eddie Vokes struck out the side in the 9th to record the save. The POWER are back in action tomorrow night as they take on the Colton Knighthawks, as they try to start a new winning streak during the last week of the season.
