PALM SPRINGS, Calif.- Former POWER players Brooks Kriske (’14), Jordan Zimmerman (’14) and Brian Serven (’15) were selected on day two of the MLB Draft this afternoon.
Kriske and Zimmerman were a part of the 2014 POWER squad that went 41-8 while Serven was a part of the 2015 team that finished 39-13. All three players won SCCBL titles with the POWER.
Serven and Kriske both attended Palm Desert High School before collegiate careers at Arizona State and USC respectively.
The Colorado Rockies selected Serven with the 140th pick while Kriske went to the New York Yankees 188th overall.

Zimmerman started his playing career at Mesa Community College before transferring to Michigan State and leading the team in hitting in 2016. The second baseman was drafted by the Los Angeles of Anaheim with the 216th pick.
All three players hope to join the four other POWER players to make it to The Show.
