The 2015 SCCBL vs. OCCL All-Star Rosters and Home Run Derby participants were released today. You can find the complete rosters HERE.
The SCCBL vs. OCCL Home Run Derby (brought to you by Cindy Pieper of State Farm) will feature the top four power hitters from each conference facing off in a two-round battle to see who can hit the most home runs. In round one, each participant will receive eight outs (swings that do not result in home runs) to accrue as many home runs as possible. The top two hitters will advance to the final round. In the finals, each batter will receive five outs, and whoever hits the most home runs in round two will be crowned the 2015 SCCBL/OCCL home run king. In the result of a tie in the final round, there will be a three-out swing-off. The Home Run Derby begins at 6:05 pm at Palm Springs Stadium.
Following the derby, the 2015 SCCBL vs. OCCL All-Star Game will commence. The All-Star game will showcase the top talents from their respective conferences. The Palm Springs POWER will be represented by P Luke Barker, P Keaton Cenatiempo, UTIL Chard Clark, INF Ryan Raslowsky, C Cody Gaertner and OF Connor Hornsby.
Being that it is Saturday, it will be Kid’s Day at Palm Springs Stadium (brought to you by Desert Air), and all children 12 & under will get in for just $2.
