2015-2016 Palm Springs POWER Academy registration is underway!
The 2015-2016 Palm Springs POWER youth academy is beginning its second season of competition and we are looking for dedicated players and families that want to make baseball a top priority!
The Palm Springs POWER academy is dedicated to grooming young men into outstanding citizens, hard workers, team players, following through on a commitment to a goal, life lessons, and solid baseball players that will have the ability to go on to play baseball in high school, college, and beyond if they have the desire, ability and put in the work! The POWER academy coaching staff is made up of College Coaches, former Professional and College Players, High School Coaches, and some volunteers. All POWER coaches are screened and expected to be outstanding examples for the players they coach!
The Power philosophy is built upon a TEAM concept, we are all in this together! We are always trying to WIN games! All players are expected to learn and know all responsibility for all positions. We will teach your player the baseball fundamentals necessary to succeed to the next level which include:
– Fielding and throwing proper technique and defensive awareness.
– Batting fundamentals, hitting philosophy, situational hitting, bunting, mental preparation, and having a plan.
– Baserunning philosophy, leads, stealing, hit and runs, sliding, aggressive pressure on the base paths.
– Pitching mechanics, preparation, arm strength and stretching techniques, focus, and mental toughness.
– Catchers- receiving, blocking, framing, footwork, quickness, game preparation and pitcher management.
If you are looking for something beyond recreational baseball, this is the place for you! We work hard, we have fun, and the Power coaching staff will instill structure and discipline into your players life. There are NO guarantees for playing time! Your player must earn their spot on the field, we will help them get there!
We expect good attitudes and team spirit from players and parents alike! This is a family!
We are NOT looking for team hoppers that go from team to team, we expect your full commitment!

DO NOT WAIT 2015-2016 Rosters are forming now. We practice twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 p.m.-7:30 pm at Palm Springs Power stadium on Baristo and Sunrise. We play tournaments approximately twice a month. We will try to stay as close to home as much as possible for tournaments, but we will travel throughout the Inland Empire, Banning, Beaumont, Ontario, Temecula, West Covina.
The 12U Power are planning on traveling to Cooperstown New York for the National Championships in August 2016!
Practice resumes Monday August 24th 5:30 p.m. at Power Stadium!
