PALM SPRINGS, CA – The Palm Springs Power (6-0) took the lead in the second inning and never looked back, defeating the OC Waves 10-5 on Friday night at Palm Springs Stadium
Third baseman Chesny Young led the Power offense, going 2-for-3 from the cleanup spot with two RBIs and two runs scored. Designated hitter Matt Paradise and right fielder Brooks Klein each chipped in with two hits, an RBI, and a run in the win.
Matt Anderson (1-0) earned the win in his first game as a member of the Power, coming on in the fifth to pitch a scoreless inning and two-thirds.
Palm Springs is back in action tomorrow night at Palm Springs Stadium when they take on the Diamond Valley Sabers in their first SCCBL league game of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
