PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs POWER (15-4) suffered a 9-4 loss at the hands of the San Francisco Seals (6-11) Saturday night at Palm Springs Stadium.
POWER starting pitcher Scott Simmons (2-2) went four and a third innings, allowing four runs on eight hits with two strikeouts to take the loss. Matt Hutchins picked up the win after pitching seven innings and allowing just two runs.
Shortstop David Kiriakos led the offense for the POWER, going 1-for-3 with an RBI double and a run scored. Bryan Niedbalski also had an RBI single in the second inning for Palm Springs.
The POWER are back in action tomorrow night when they host the Long Beach Legends at Palm Springs Stadium at 7:05. Tomorrow night is Pride Night at the ballpark. Gates will open at 6:05 p.m.
