Seven ex-POWER players were selected in the 2007 MLB Draft. 2005 POWER pitcher James Simmons, from University of California Riverside , was picked in the first round and 26th overall by the Oakland Athletics. Left-handed pitcher Chris Siegfried, University of Portland , was drafted in the 11th round by the Chicago Cubs. Chris pitched for the POWER in 2006 and 2007. Brian Letko, who played for the POWER in 2005, was chosen by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 19th Round. Letko attended Embry-Riddle University in Flordia . In the 21st round the Tampa Bay Devil Rays picked 2004 POWER player Kevin Brophy from UCLA. The Washington Nationals drafted 2005 POWER player Aaron Seuss, from California Baptist University , in the 27th round. 2004 POWER player Kurt Crowell, from Cal State Los Angeles, was picked in the 38th round by the Milwaukee Brewers. Also in the 38th round the Cincinnati Reds selected 2006 POWER player Ari Ronick from University of Portland. The POWER organization congratulates all of the players and best of luck in the future.
