CODE OF CONDUCT(Required)
Coaches’ Agreement As a coach in this tournament, I commit to: Be a Positive Role Model Demonstrate integrity, respect, and sportsmanship at all times. Remember that youth baseball is about the children — not the adults. Respect and Promote Sportsmanship and Team Play Instill and reinforce the principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play. Treat all players, coaches, opponents, umpires, officials, and spectators with respect and dignity. Encourage players to show respect — whether the team is winning or losing (“humble in victory, gracious in defeat”). Prioritize Player Well-Being Over Winning Place the physical, emotional, and mental health of players ahead of personal desire to win. Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all players. Provide Positive, Constructive Coaching and Instruction Conduct practices and games with the goal of offering a fun, educational, and development-focused experience. Teach the fundamentals of the game to the best of my ability. Offer instruction in a supportive, constructive manner. Follow League / Tournament Rules and Policies Comply with the decisions of league and tournament officials and abide by all rules, policies, and procedures. Ensure my team also follows these rules at all times. Maintain a Safe, Respectful, Substance-Free Environment Refrain from using drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products at all team functions (games, practices, team events). Not tolerate any behavior that endangers the safety or well-being of a child. Not ridicule, demean, or harass any player, coach, official, parent, or spectator. Coach Responsibility for Team Conduct Accept responsibility for the behavior of players, parents, and spectators associated with my team. Address misconduct promptly and appropriately, including when behavior comes from players’ parents or spectators. Consequences for Violations I understand that failure to abide by this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including — but not limited to — warnings, suspension of coaching privileges, removal from coaching duties, or team disqualification, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation. Acknowledgement and Agreement By agreeing, I acknowledge that: I have read and understand this Code of Conduct. I agree to abide by it at all times during practices, games, tournaments, and team functions. My participation as a coach is contingent upon adherence to these rules.
