PALM SPRINGS, Calif. ~The Palm Springs Power started off the three game weekend series against the SoCal Stros by erupting for 17 runs. On the flip side the defense surrendered 13 hits, but gave up only 5 runs. The Power win streak now moves to 6 games to start off the season.

The offense was backed up by Brett Young and Landen Barns. Young went 4 for 6 and crossed home plate 3 times, as Barns went 3-4 with 3 RBIs.

The Power Offense lit up the scoreboard as they scored 4 times in the first and second, 5 times in the sixth, and 2 runs in both the seventh and eighth. Twelve different batters totaled up to 21 hits for the big offensive night.

Power starter Jack Jett improves to 2-0 as he went 6 innings pitched and gave up 5 runs. The right handed pitcher Jesus Chavez made his Power debut as he pitched 2 innings of relief and struck out 4 batters.  

The Power continue their series against the Stros Saturday night at 7:05 PM where they look to improve to 7-0.  Saturday is Kids Day brought to you by Desert Air where all kids 12 and under get in for just $2.
