The Palm Springs Power lost to the Arroyo Seco Sentinels 6-3 on Saturday night at Palm Springs Stadium.

It was a tough outing for the Power offense as they struggled to hit with runners in scoring position. The top and middle of the order did a decent job of getting on base but the bottom half of the order was unable to drive them in. Overall nine Power runners were stranded which is a season high.

The Power defense struggled as well with three errors that would cost them three runs and that would be the deciding factor in the game.

Clinton Cole talked to POWER manager Casey Dill after the game:

“That was probably our worst game of the year, but I don’t expect it to happen again.”

Power starter Kyle Brown had a good night on the mound going five innings, gave up one earned run with one strikeout.

Cody Ducote and Justin Wylie both had good night’s as they were the only two Power batters to have multiple hits. Ducote went 2-3 with an opposite field solo home run in the second inning. Wylie went 2-5 with two runs scored from the leadoff spot.

“We’re already turning the page. We’re already looking towards Monday and I expect us to come out, bats swinging and get right back on track on Monday.”

The Power return to action with a doubleheader against the Inland Valley Bucs in their first road games of the season in Pomona on Monday at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
