PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs POWER (8-1, 2-1) rallied from a 5-1 deficit to defeat the Diamond Valley Sabers (3-5, 3-2) 7-5 on Tuesday night at Palm Springs Stadium.

Matt Anderson (2-0) struck out eight hitters over seven innings of scoreless relief to pick up his first win of the season.

Anthony Torres drove in two runs to key a five-run rally in the fifth inning that gave the POWER their first lead of the game. Adam Law drove in two runs, while David Kiriakos and Matt Paradise each recorded two hits in the victory.

The POWER continue SCCBL action Wednesday night against Team San Diego. Wednesday is First Responders Night at Palm Springs Stadium. All first responders receive free admission. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
