PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – The POWER set a franchise-record for wins in a season Sunday night, drubbing the East LA Dodgers 13-0 at Palm Springs Stadium for their 43rd victory of the season.

Palm Springs won 42 games in 2012 on their way to SCCBL and SoCal World Series Championships.

With the win, the POWER (43-4) extended their season-best winning streak to 13 games. The red-and-white used a balanced attack, scoring in six of their eight innings at the plate to sweep the season series over the Dodgers 4-0.

The POWER wasted little time in grabbing the lead. Ryan Raslowsky led off the bottom of the first inning with a single, and quickly stole second base. Jared Theisen then doubled drive in Raslowsky. After a pair of fly outs and a walk to Tyler Truitt, Reagan Fowler singled to drive in Theisen. Truitt would ultimately score on a wild pitch by Dodgers starter Cameron Baker for a 3-0 lead.

Fowler brought in another run with an RBI single in the third inning to build the lead to 4-0.

The POWER broke the game open in the fourth inning, tallying another two runs. Brett Sullivan led off with a double and Raslowsky was then hit by a pitch. With Theisen batting, both runners took off on double-steal, and Dodgers catcher Josh Quintero threw the ball away, allowing Sullivan to score. Raslowsky would score when Theisen singled for a 6-0 lead.

Theisen finished the game with three hits and five RBIs, joining Fowler, Eric Urry, and Austin Barrett as the only POWER players to drive in five runs in a game this season.

Pitcher Robert Hook (1-0) earned his first win of the season, tossing five scoreless innings. The right-hander scattered seven hits while walking two and striking out five.

Baker (0-2) absorbed the loss for the Dodgers (30-15-1), allowing six runs on six hits in three innings.

The POWER return to the field Tuesday to take on the SoCal Sklz at 7:05pm. It will be a Two for Tuesday, with fans buying one ticket receiving a second ticket free. Hot dogs, popcorn, soda, and beer will be available for just $2 as well. Fans that can’t make it to the game can listen to the broadcast online at pspbb.com.
