Palm Springs, CA – In the second game of a double-header the Palm Springs POWER won their second game on the day.  The game started with four runs from in the top of the first that led to the POWER victory at Vanguard University.  The win improved the POWER to 25-2 and 16-1 in conference play.  The two POWER wins increase their conference lead to five games. 

The POWER had a big first inning in which they sent all nine starters to the plate.  In the inning the POWER had five hits, one walk, and four runs.  The POWER scored another run in the top of the fourth after a Corey Black single and then advancing to third on a two base error.  Black later scored on a passed ball.  Black went three for five with two runs scored and a stolen base.  The POWER scored another run in the sixth when Chett Zeise drove in Jake Brown with two outs. 

POWER starter Brandon Kizer went seven innings and picked up the win.  Kizer struck out three and only allowed three hits to earn his second win of the season.  The POWER brought in Kesley Kondo to pitch the eighth inning.  Gabe Aguilar closed out the win for the POWER. 

The POWER return to action Friday night against the San Diego Force at Palm Springs Stadium where it will be Wild Wild West Night.  First-pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM and the gates open up at 6:00 PM.
