PALM SPRINGS, CA – The Palm Springs POWER (12-2, 6-2 SCCBL) dropped their second game of the season to the LA Thrashers (2-2, 1-1 SCCBL) Tuesday night at Palm Springs Stadium, losing 5-2.

POWER Starting pitcher Matt Anderson was given a no-decision after pitching six innings, allowing just one run and striking out nine.

Shortstop Adam Law went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and first baseman Bryan Niedbalski had a double and scored a run for the Palm Springs offense in the loss.

Daniel Skahill picked up the win for the Thrashers after pitching three scoreless innings in relief and Ethan Mack recorded a three-out save in the ninth to seal the victory.

The POWER took a 2-1 lead into the seventh inning, but the Thrashers went ahead in the eighth and added two insurance runs in the ninth off relief pitchers Garrett Hicks, Jake McCoy and Tony Guerra.

The two teams meet again Wednesday night at Palm Springs Stadium. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
