PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – The Palms Springs POWER defeated the OC Pirates Friday night 7-3 behind another strong outing from starting pitcher Blakeney Kearbey (Harris Stowe) and the relentless power offense.

Kearbey toed the rubber for five innings on Friday night and was dominant. The sophomore right-hander allowed just one run on five hits and one walk, and proved to be overpowering with his ten strikeouts.  It wasn’t just Kearbey who had the punch-outs flowing, as the entire POWER staff racked up an eye-opening 20 strikeouts on the night against the Pirates.

The POWER offense showed up once again with another seven runs. Dillon Sears (Western Illinois) led the POWER with three hits on the evening while topping off his impressive night with a two-RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to seal the victory. Through the first six contests, the POWER are averaging ten runs per game.

Catch the POWER in action tomorrow as they wrap up the series with the OC Pirates Saturday night. Gates open at 6, with first pitch set for 7:05 PM from Palm Springs Stadium.
