Jacob Clem finished his first season with the Traverse City Beach Bums of the Frontier League. Clem played for the Power in 2008 where he played 1B and OF. The Washington native has since been converted to a pitcher where he went 7-4 with a 3.21 ERA during the 2012 season. Clem graduated in 2011 from the University of Washington with a career 3.86 ERA and an 8-10 record. As a senior Clem made the transition to starter and carried his largest workload with over 70 innings in 17 appearances including 10 starts and two complete game shutouts. Clem struck out 45 batters averaging 5.42 SO/9IP while only walking 15. In this past season with the Beach Bums, Clem started 20 games, going 134.2 innings and struck out 62.
